Province of Arezzo, Toscana
The province occupies one of the inner areas of Tuscany. It is celebrated for its rich Etruscan history, the artistic activity of a number of great Renaissance painters such as Piero della Francesca.
Art and history are hidden like uncontaminated gems within the many protected areas along the Arno valleys, Valdarno, Arezzo and Casentino valleys, the Valtiberina and the valleys of the Marecchia and Foglia rivers; fine events, like the Giostra del Saracino or the Palio of Siena.
