History
Since the early 20th century, when it had a population of almost 2,000 inhabitants, the village has suffered a massive depopulation losing over 30 times its residents, and among the more than 8,000 Italian municipalities only Carrega Ligure, near Alexandria, suffered a higher depopulation.
