San Gregorio Matese, Province of Caserta, Campania
Located in the heart of the Matese Regional Park, not far from the lake of the same name and the Miralago Pass, it is one of the favourite tourist destinations in the Upper Casertana area.
The center takes its name from an ancient Benedictine church, dedicated to San Gregorio, which collapsed in the early 18th century. In 1945 it passed from the province of Benevento to that of Caserta.
