Castel di Sasso, Province of Caserta, Campania
At the foot of Mount Friento, one of the summits of the Trebulani Mountains. the center rises in a predominantly hilly territory and is included in the Mountain Community of Monte Maggiore.
Until the early 20th century the municipality also included Villa Santa Croce, presently in the municipality of Piana di Monte Verna. The townhall was at first the hamlet of Sasso, then passed to the hamlet of Prea, in 1867 to Strangolagalli and finally, from 1988 to San Marco.
