Paupisi, Province of Benevento, Campania
Located on the northern slopes of the Taburno Camposauro chain, amid olive groves and vineyards, it is about 18 km from the provincial capital. The toponym derives from Pau, "pagus", village in Latin: in its territory, on the left bank of the Calore Irpino river, on a site called "Pagani" Roman ruins were found.
