Chieti - Warrior princes on show / Tre principi guerrieri
King Nevio Pompuledio (the Capestrano Warrior) will have as his guests two German princes of the 5th century B.C. Archeology has shown contacts between the Piceni culture and central Germany. The Capestrano, Hischerland and Glauberg warriors wear similar collars, weapons and shields. Abruzzese humour has nicknamed them "cocce de 'mbrelle ", "cocce pizzute" (or "pinco ritto") , and "topolino".

Pescara - Obituary for war hero Galliani / È morto Galliani, eroe militare
Vincenzo Galliani, 77, born in Chieti and domiciled in Pescara, stepped out of the stage silently as he had lived. On 29 april 1945 in Venice he was welcomed as a hero. He was parachuted behind German lines and informed the Intelligence service of the movements of the enemy.
