Goriano Sicoli - Feast of Santa Gemma / Festeggiata Santa Gemma
Yesterday the highly moving rite for Santa Gemma Vergine was repeated. At midday in a nearby valley the delegations from San Sebastiano dei Marsi, where Gemma was born, and from Goriano, where the young sheperdess was a prisoner of the powerful Count of Celano, met and contined together to the sanctuary.

Pescara - 50 buses for Padre Pio / Cinquanta autobus per Padre Pio, by Cindy Virgili
A pilgrimage to commemorate padre Pio's birth, which took place at 5pm on 25 may 1887, in Vico Storto di Valle, in Castello di Pietrelcina, province of Benevento; the child, called Francesco Forgione, took 23 years later the name of Padre Pio. Pilgrims will pray together all day long, as the friar taught his followers.
