Celano - Commemoration for the labourers killed in a strike / Commemorazione per i braccianti uccisi durante uno sciopero, by Maria A. D'Alessandro
50 years ago on 30 april 1950 Agostino Paris and Antonio Berardicurti were killed in the piazza of Celano during a strike against the government and the landowners, when the police fired on the crowd. In Abruzzo there were riots in Torre de Passeri, Pescina, Luco dei Marsi and victims in Lentella and Celano.

Pescosansonesco - Celebrations for Beato Nunzio / Gran festa al santuario per celebrare l'artigiano dei miracoli
The parish priest has announced the program: great feast at the sanctuary for Beato Nunzio Sulprizio on 5 May. Behind the altar there is still the spring used by 19-year-old Nunzio to heal a wound in his leg. That water is believed to be miraculous. This may also an exhibition of 36 paintings by Mario Di Donato on the life of "lu santariello", who died in Naples in 1836.

Cocullo - The serpari are back / Il rito dei serpari ritorna, by Pasquale D'Alberto
As every first Thursday in May, this 4 may the small centre will be filled of visitors and pilgrims for the "rito dei serpari". From Atina, Sora, Sant'Elia Fiumerapido pilgrim will come in devotion to San Domenico. The serpari will be in the square, and in the sanctuary the rite will be repeated. At midday the statue of the saint will be dressed with snakes, and then carried along the streets. In the afternoon lectures and multimedia exhibitions.
