L'Aquila - Sister Gertrude / Suor Gertrude, il giro del mondo con una preghiera, by Federica Farda
Sixty-six years without leaving her monastery of the Beata Antonia in silence and prayer. Gertrude accepted to give an interview to tell about her memories. On 25 january 1934, she entered religious life, one year later she took her orders. She remembers six bishops, the war destruction when the nuns hid two Jewish ladies, and offered food to anybody, Italian, American or German. Until the vatican Council they could leave the monastery only for health reasons, later on also to vote. Does she miss the world? No, with her prayers she has been anywhere. And she reads and watches TV, and nuns write letters and speak on the phone to people in need.

Avezzano - The Marsian bear goes to school / L'orso marsicano va a scuola per educare i ragazzi all'ambiente , by Giovanna Palmieri
A course for teachers wil take place for two months at the Riserva naturale Orientata di Magliano de' Marsi and at Rocca Di Mezzo to prepare them to introduce environmental education in all schools within the territory of the park. In Septemer the final stage will take place within the park itself.

Alanno - tradition and biotech in agriculture / Tradizione e biotecnologia nell'agricoltura
The 24th Meeting/exhibition of Abruzzese agriculture and craftswork will take place at the Istituto Tecnico Agrario (Itas) Cuppari, Alanno. The exhibition will feature the latest machinery and methods. Among the issues traditions and bio-ethics in the man/environment relationship, a study made possible also through the help of the Museo delle tradizioni e arti contadine, Picciano.

Roseto - A missionary Easter for three families / Un'altra Pasqua da missionari - Tre famiglie rosetane in Colombia, Camerun e Canada
Three families will leave their comfortable civilized homes for a missionary life. Mr and Mrs De Luca and their five children have lived in Colombia for five years now. Bruno Pompetti and wife Paola Prosperi with four children are in Cameroon. The Perpetuini family (with seven children) have moved to Canada. The community of Sacro Cuore, Roseto, also sent padre Giacomo Rainieri to former Jugoslavia. Among the youths many new vocations.
