Dee-jay from Pescara in Los Angeles / DJ pescarese sbarca a Los Angeles
Luciano Palermi, for nine years now in Los Angeles, after a dentistry degree decided to follow his true vocation and landed in Los Angeles, California. Then he launched a program of Italian contemporary music with a small radio company. For a year now his program can be heard also live on the Internet. His program is on Radio Ktym, 1460 Am, every Sunday from 11 to 12.30.

Teramo - The Lions award to Pietro Marziale / A Marziale onorificenza del Lions
The Malvin Jones Fellow for the year 2000 of the Lions international Clubs of Atri, Giulianova, Teramo and Val Vibrata goes to Pietro Marziale, professor at the Regina Elena Hospital in Rome for cancer research and therapy. In his native Campli he founded a gynecological cancer prevention center where diagnoses and therapy are given free of charge.

Orsogna - The only Abruzzese female commendatore / Ines Di Giovanni l'unico commendatore donna
Ines Di Giovanni, 82 years old, left Orsogna for Rome in her early youth. Since the 1940's she worked in the highest levels in the Finance Department, in 1973 she was awarded a gold medal from the Home Affairs department, in 1974 she was made a "cavaliere" of the Republic and in 1993 she received the title of "ufficiale" by President Oscar Luigi Scalfaro.

Between Easter and September a rich agenda of archeological, environmental and enogastronomical itineraries. In the Convento di Sant'Antonio tehre is a permanent archeological museum with the many findings from nearby Monte Sorbo, then a painting exhibition, guided green trips and local gastronomy features especially based on the local renowned San Buono truffle, salamy and rustic cooking.
