Abruzzese Jubilee on April 1st / Il 1 aprile tutti a Roma, by Ernesto Grippo
The eleven Abruzzese and Molisan bishopries to st. Peter's, Rome, on the first day of April. On January 24, the day of San Francesco di Sales, in Santa Maria Arabona, Manoppello, jubilee for media operators and artists assisted by archbishop Edoardo Menichelli. But there is something new in this first millennium jubilee: to obtain the general pardon of all sins, instead of visiting a jubilee church believers might choose to visit someone sick or in prison.

Atri-Toronto language study / Lingua e cultura italiana per gli studenti canadesi
Abruzzo President Antonio Falconio met school authorities in the Columbus Center, Toronto, and established guidelines for 500 Canadian students to spend a month in Atri within the program organized by Alberto Di Giovanni of the Centro scuola Toronto. Also present Gino Vendresca, the president of the Abruzzese Confederation in Canada.

Sulmona - Enzo Mosca's masterpiece crib / Un presepe senza rivali
Enzo Mosca's crib, though not included in the contest, was the most admired of the 120 cribs on show in the Casa Santa dell'Annunziata, Sulmona. Covering 10 square meters, it is formed of hundreds of small statues, all carved in wood and painted by hand, all caught in some moment of the peasant's everyday life. The first prize goes to Giovanni Di Giulio (Tocco Da Casauria) who made a cross-section of the place, the second to Salvatore Maggio (Roma) for his scenery and costumes, and the third is split between Vincenzo Pettinella (Pescara) and the Scuola Media Capograssi, Sulmona.

Loreto Aprutino - Study meetings on ceramics / Incontri sulle maioliche, by Piergiacomo Cardone
A program of study meetings on the techniques and contents of Castelli ceramics in the municipal museum, containing works from the early 16th to the 20th century of such masters as the Gentiles, Grues, Fuinas, Cappellettis. The Foundation organizing the meetings bought for 5 billion Lire the renowned Acerbo collection.
