A black and white photo book on Pope Celestine V / Un libro fotografico sul Papa del Perdono
"Il luogo del perdono", edited by photo-artist Roberto Grillo and Marco Anello, texts by Luca Marchetti and Maria Laura Aloisi, was published in 1000 copies and will be presented tomorrow at the Sala Baiocco within a photo exibition by Grillo himself.

Guardiagrele - Inauguration of De Benedictis exhibition / Inaugurazione della mostra de Benedictis
Mayor Franco Caramanico opened yesterday an exhibition devoted to painter Francesco Maria De Benedictis, organized by Lorenzo Lorenzi. The 19th-century artist left on his canvases fine historical and cultural documents of his native town. A beautiful catalogue made by Studio Roncai, Pescara, is also available.

MANOPPELLO - The old and the young exchange gifts / Anziani e bambini si scambiano i doni
During this holiday season the municipality organized meeting occasions for grandchildren and grandparents. Tomorrow at 10 «Abruzzo tout court teatro», on Tuesday «Canzoni sotto l'albero», then the old generation will distribute books for a value of 3 million Italian Lire, financed by the Region. And as a final celebration a «castagnata» (chestnuts roasting) in the square.

200th anniversary of the Nereto miracle - A statue to the Virgin who made the French withdraw / Una statua alla Madonna che mise in fuga i francesi - Il bicentenario del miracolo di Nereto - by Luca Zarroli
Celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the miracle accomplished by the Madonna della Consolazione. A new bronze statue by Ubaldo Ferretti from Grottammare will be placed near the church. On 22 december 1798 the population was saved from the French invaders thanks to an apparition that frightened the Napoleonic armies. A parade and bands playing traditional and Christmas songs will enliven the holidays.
