A midnight wedding on December 31st - At Città Sant'Angelo the only mayor on duty / Cerimonia di nozze a mezzanotte del 31 dicembre, e il sindaco Catena stabilirà un record - Città Sant'Angelo, primi sposi del Duemila.
Umberto e Simonetta will be the first married couple of the Year 2000 in the Townhall of Città Sant'Angelo. Also mayor Bruno Catena will establish a record: he will surely be the only mayor on duty at that moment in Italy.

Generations of Pescarese sat down for an icecream either at Camplone's or Berardo's, near Piazza Salotto. But the mythical Berardo, across the street from Camplone, is now closed down for a court order, and Pescara is missing the protagonist of the eternal "best icecream" challenge. Far back in time "nonno Berardino" walked the streets with his icecream cart.

From 11 December to 6 January "Presepi tra le antiche mura", organized by the "Lunaria" association will lead through a crib itinerary to the rediscovery of old houses and courtyards. "Devil of an archbishop" is the title of an article on national magazine "L'Espresso" for the polemics excited by Mons. Peressin in his will, where he accuses his successor Monsignor Molinari, Cardinal Angelo Sodano (Vatican's secretary of State) and Archbishop Orlando Antonini.
