I'm looking for information on my grandparents who lived in the Caserta area. Grandfather: Giuseppe Passaretti, grandmother Carmella Marra. Born about 1870. Are there any relative of either of these people still in the area?

Mio nonno è nato a Teramo. Excuse my poor Italian. He was married to my grandmother, Concetta, nee DiCrissi, but I'm not sure where she came from, or if they met on the way to the US. Any help would be appreciated. I'd love to find more family members.

I am looking for the family of Domenico Luciani. He was born in 1896 in Francavilla a mare, province of Chieti. His father was Vincenzo and his mother was Maria Pantelone. He had brothers who remained in Italy and raised families. Some of their names were Rocco, Vincenzo and Salvatore. I know Rocco had sons, one of whom was Antonio. I believe his family still lives in Francailla a mare. He had brothers Nicola, Costantino and a sister Philamena that came to America. At on time Salvatore also came to America, but he then returned to Italy. My father, Domenico arrived in New York in 1921 from Napoli. His full name at that time was Domenicantonio Luciani. If anyone could tell me about his nieces and nephers in Italy I would be very grateful.

My Great-Grandfather came to the US from Italy and ended in West Virginia, working in the coal mines. In performing some preliminary research, it seems as though his original surname had changed. One family member had noted that he came over in 1903, and that his name had been Anthony Vincent Lupino. After searching that name, I came up with nothing. In digging through the Ellis Island manifest lists, there was a Vincenzo Lupinotti that came over that same year and was within 1 years age difference that my Great-Grandfather. There doesn't seem to be any records of a Lupinotti anywhere, so I'm wondering if the name got confused at sign in and should have ready Lupinetti. I'm trying to figure out if there's any way this could've been him. It said he was from Castilenti, Italy, where Lupinetti seems to be a big family name. If you know of anything, please let me know. Thanks! :)

re: Pergolini family Roseto
Hello Dale, my grandfather was from Roseto. He was born in Montepagano as were his 4 brothers and sister. Descendants of Francesca Pergolini Di Giambattista still live in Roseto. Descendants of Guido live in Rome. I am in touch with all of them and many of the descendants of the Pergolini brothers (all born 1892 through 1910) in the USA. My mother was a Pergolini. Most of the siblings migrated to Philadelphia during the period 1909 - 1939. Happy to share information, dates, some photos, etc...I, by the way, live in Australia. The Italian diaspora continues... Regards,
PS your email is out of date on this site so I am posting directly.
