Hello: I have found this site by accident and thought I might try it out. I am an ailing senior who has spent the last 53 years trying to find information on my father and his family. I am not sure of how much time I have left here on earth so I would like to find a feeling of belonging and know where my family comes from and who they are. All I know about my father and his family is that his name is Egidio Bianchini born in 1888 in Morsano al Tagliamento Italy. His father's name was Guiseppe Bianchini and his mother's name was Francesca Pelosio. I believe he has two brothers whose names are Giacomo and Giovani. My grandfather supposedly ran a bar somewhere in Italy, probably not too far from where they were from. My father was suppose to have served two years in the military there somewhere during the years 1908 and 1910. I know that my father came to Canada in May 1913 and landed in Ellis Island.
Can anyone out there help me find my sense of belonging. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
