This is a wonderful website. I stumbled on it by accident. I'm searching for my husband's side of the family. His grandfather was Christianziano Fossaceca (1857-1933) and he married Maria Mercedes Catolina (1867-1934, her birthdate must be wrong). They immigrated to Canada in 1877. Any help in obtaining more information would be appreciated.

I am searching for descendent relatives. My grandfather, Geramino Fedele, was born in Manapello, Italy on April 13, 1894 and emigrated to the United States in 1920. He was married to Maria Teresa Cristafaro of Ripalimosani and lived there prior to his departure for America. Am searching for any descendent of those families, any Fedele still residing in or from Manapello, or Cristafaro still residing in Ripolimosani.

My father Pasquale DiTola was from Castel di Sangro, and I believe my mother's family is, too. They are the DeLuca family. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. They are all deceased, but my cousins are still there in the area, and in possibly Chieti, Roccocaraso??? and Roma. If you know of any DiTolas I would like to hear. Thanks.

I just happened onto this website today. Nice to hear that there are so many Abruzzesi (specifically from Torre) all over the world.
My parents (Gemma Di Nardo and Giuseppe Di Domizio) were both born in this quaint little town. They found a new life in Canada in the late 1950's. I was fortunate enough to go back and visit on 3 separate occasions (the last time in 1994).
I am looking for any photos (professionally taken) of Torre dei Passeri that I can hang in my home and office. I promise to go back and visit again some day with my 3 children. Cheers from Toronto.

My grandparents came from Castrovalva (Nono) and Sulmona (Nana) in the early 1900's. I have tried to have them work with me on our family's history but to no success. They and my aunts, uncles and parents recently passed and with the way generations have come and gone the DiTinno family (now with all girls) will soon be gone from the USA. I would like to continue my search for family and a tree of knowledge to pass down so our name will not dissapear completely. Can you direct me to a more inexpensive method of research at this time? Your assistance would more greatly appreciated than words can say. Sincerely,
Dennis DiTinno

Hi, My grandparents were from Pescara: Adelina Persanti (not spelled right) who married Michael Pellegrino from Salerno. We were always told we had family in Italy but since they really didn't speak much English and our parents were born here no one knows anything. Our one uncle is 90 and an Aunt who did visit she is 93 now so can't find out much. I'm just trying to do a family tree and want to know if we do have any family left in Italy. Thank you!

I am planning a trip to Reggio Calabria coming this May 2010 and would like to find information on property my parents owned before they immigrated to NY in the 1920's. It was actually my grandparents Dominick Luca and Natale Bruzzese who owned the properties. My grandparents, parents and their siblings are all deceased and I have no clue where to start. I know my parents Dominick Bruzzese and Rose Luca were born in Mammola, Calabria in 1921 and 1924. I would like to see if I can at least visit the exact area they lived. Can anyone out there help?? I would appreciate any assistance anyone can offer. Thanks for your time,
