My great grandmother was Carmella Picciano, she lived in Bronx N.Y after arriving from Italy. She was married to Frank Vallone and had four of his children. Anne, Frank, Victoria, and Adelaide (Lilly). We do not know what happened with Vallone died or disappeared? Carmella then married Benedict Palliotto, and had 3 more children named: Dominic, Mary Grace, and Philamena aka Cuty. Do any of these names ring a bell? Carmella had a relative a Picciano named Carrie married name Carrie Wheeler, she lived in Yonkers. Just now embarking on my past..Hope we could help one another. Thank you.

Grazie!

Hello to all! I am researching the heritage and family name of Maiorani. My grandfather Cesare Maiorani was born February 11, 1895 - he came to America on April 26, 1913. He also had a brother Omero Maiorani who was slightly older. Omero came to America first on the ship called Konigin Luise which left from Naples and arrived on March 16, 1911. Thier mother's name was Lucia DiSabatino.
Our family is very excited to learn more about our ancestors.

I'm looking for information regarding the D'Elisiis/Lozzi family. My father (Ernesto), aunt (Elena) and grandmother Filamina Lozzi D'Elisiis immigrated to New York in the 1920's to be with my grandfather, Federico D'Elisiis. Joining them in the upstate New York area were Joseph and his wife Mary D'Elisiis, their children Richard, Sue, June, Ann, Angie, Mary and Arthur. My great-grandparents were Archillo and Williamano D'Elisiis. They remained in Italy. We'd like information on my great-grandparents and their parents before them. They lived in the Campobasso area. Also, if there are any other D'Elisiis's or even Lozzi that originated from this area please contact me. My sister, cousins and I are trying to get as much information as possible and put a small book together as a legacy for our children. Thank you.

As far as I can go back is to my grandparents on both sides of our family. On my father's side (Nicola Angelozzi), who was born in the providence of Abruzzo, town of Atri in 1910. His father's name was Frank Angelozzi who married my grandmother Maria (can't remember her last name) and they came to America in 1914. They somehow wound up in the Little Italy section in Baltimore and had three more kids (Joseph, Salvatore, and Peggy). At this point, Peggy is the only one still alive.

On my mother's (Elizabeth Fortunato) side were my grandparents Nicholas Fortunato and Sophia (???) who lived in an adjacent town in Abruzzo named Rosetta. They came to America in 1914 and ended up in a coal mining town of Lansford, PA. My mother was the second oldest of six children born in 1912. Three of his sisters are still alive with the oldest (Ida) having her 100th birthday this year.

My father and I went to see our relatives a few times in the most beautiful countryside I have ever witnessed with the olive trees, persimmon, and the largest fig trees imagined. They had a balcony on the second floor where we picked figs until we could eat no more!!

This is a wonderful site and I plan to visit it often. Viva Italia!!

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me find my grandfathers family. His name was Theodore Anthony Petrilli. He married my grandmother in the US in 1928. I don't know much else. I remember my mom had told me she had cousins in the us named Petrilli in Florida. My grandfather died quite a long time ago. The research I have done so far shows he was born in Castle Del Guidise in 1904. When I try look up this city I can only find Castle Del Guidice. Is that the same city and Does anyone know the Petrills??
Thanks for any information.
