Hi everyone, it looks like you are all trying to do the same as I am doing. Looking for roots to your Ancestors. My father is Angelino DiCesare born in 1917 and is still alive. His parents were Dominic Angelo DiCesare born Nov 1877 and died May 1943, his mother was Antonina Quaglia and she died in May of 1946. He had three brothers, Luciano, Rocco and Mario DiCesare. They all lived in the town of Gagliano Aterno. My dad and Mario are the only two living from their family. I am trying to find out my grandparents names of their parents or anything that can be of help to me. I am doing a family tree on the DiCesare side. Please contact me if you know of any information. We were there about 16 years ago and never returned. I'd appreciate any information that can be found. Thank you. Daughter of Angelino DiCesare, Antonette Jones.

I would be interested in hearing from D'Andrea and Diorio Families from Pizzone. My grandparents and my father were born in Pizzone. I have tried emailing several people asking for the same information, but some of the emails were returned. I spent some time in Pizzone and found many relatives I didn't know. It was a wonderful experience. Also, I have found several in Arizona and one family in Las Vegas. Always happy to find new family.

I would like information on the following families: de Luca, Marinelli, Zara, Tambelli and Genova families. The Zara family was originally from San Felice Slavo in province Campobasso, but lived in Vasto in the 19th century before some of them emigrated to the US. I would like to know when they arrived from Croatia and what town in Croatia they were from. Tambelli, Genova, deLuca and Marinelli were native Vastese. My great, great, great grandparents are: Guiseppe Tambelli married to Felicia Tambelli and Filippo Genova. I don't know the dates of their births. More recently, my ancestors are: Francesco Tambelli (b. around 1815) married to Mariangiola Genova (b. 1828) Francesco Zara (b. around 1844 in San Felice) married to Elvira Tambelli (b. 1850) Dominico deLuca (b. around 1828) married to Vincenza Marinelli (born around 1838). My grandparents, Michele deLuca (b. 1868) and Virginia Zara (b. 1877) emigrated to the US around the turn of the last century. Thank you for any help.

Greetings! My grandmother was Angelina Sferra and my grandfather was Rosario D Ricchuiti both from Carovilli. My aunt Felicia, uncle Mike and uncle Lester were born in Carovilli. Lester died in Carovilli as a toddler due to burns from boiling water. Aunt Felicia was also burned and she told me that she was in the hospital in Rome for a month. The accident was confirmed by Senora Testa. Senora Testa's family should have a picture of her in a mother of pearl frame that I took back to her on the second trip. My father John Rich was born in Krebs in 1911.

I visited Carovilli and met Ciro and Lucy DeFrange and and their son Rudy and Rudy's sister. I am sorry but I cannot recall the sister's name. Maria Sferra and Lucy Defrange were very gratious hosts and acted as guides for me. I will be eternally grateful to them. I spent the night on two different trips with Nick and Sylvia Ricchuiti. On the second trip I had to slip out and get back to the city due to chest pains.
At the time of my first visit I had just recovered from a major heart attack and bypass surgery. I have since had the bypasses redone and am still up and about. I was certain at the time of both visits that I would be dead very soon.
Myself, my great-niece and the son of my cousin Linda are all still very much intrested in our family tree. I have not been able to get a response due to what appears to be fears that we are after property or such. I would love to have the youngsters see the old house. But ownership is not even a consideration.
Note, I met a lady named Orazia Sferra while there and I have a couple of pictures. She was living with Maria and Luigi Sferra and was a playmate of my aunt Felicia. I would appreciate any help identifying my great, great-great and etc of both sides of the family. I have a photo of ta Sferra but I do not know his given name nor have I found his wife's name.
PS. Aunt May Sferra was married to Vince Stizzi,
