Ciao tutti, I am looking for "Cipollone" family members in the following areas in Italy; Corcumello, Avezzano, L'aquila, and Rome. My father Angelo had 2 brothers Quido and Lorenzo. His mother and my grandparents were Loretto and Laurina Cipollone. I have children now and they are old enough to appreciate Italy as I have growing up and I want them to experience their heritage and see family. The problem is that I have not seen family there in almost 20 years. This is a start, if anyone can connect, or suggest I would be greatful.

Hello: I have been attempting to locate the family of my grandmother Aminta Mancini who emigrated from Naples Italy April, 1911. As I understand my grand mothers came to the USA using the name Aminta Russo but I am fairly certain her real name was Aminta Mancini. According to the ship manifest Amita Russo, arrived in Ellis Island April 10, 1911 as a single female age 19. It shows her last place of residence as Ottaiano, Italy. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My grandma, Lucille Peluso Hoffman's, family was from Italy. I have practically no information on anyone. I would love to know more. I do know that her mom was Antoinette and her father was John. They lived in Newport, KY. They lived in Pennsylvannia for a while before coming to KY. I know that John and Antoinette had about 13 or more children. I know also that some of Grandma's siblings were born in Italy but that she was born here in the USA. Let me know what you have and we can compare.

I was born in Rapino, Chieti Province, Abruzzo, Italy, the year 1922. I came to America June 1939. I was drafted into the United States Army during WWII. 1944 arrived at Omaha Beach, France, continued on the battles, France, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Germany. Ardennes, Battle of the Bulge, Central Europe. By the grace of our Lord I came home, 1946. Married Jennie Lisio, we have two daugthers, Maria and Anna. Jennie passed on 1995. We lived in Richmond Hill,NY, and Brentwood,NY. 1998, Maria and I moved to Florida. My days are occupied in painting, mostly Religious Art, also Western cowboys and horses. I have studied fine Arts in Italy, England and the Art Students League of New York. I have painted Church Murals for three years, now I paint for love of Art. Anyone from Rapino can e-mail to exchange some news. Thanks to those that made this possible.

Hello, My grandfather, Julio Tozzi, was born in San Valentino and my grandmother, Dominica Di Tomasso was born in Scarfa. They independently immigrated to New York State, I believe in the 1920's and married here.
I will be visiting San Valentino April 2007 and am interested in obtaining as much family, church and town historic information that I am able to. I intend to publish a family history book in both Italian and English to share with both sides of the Atlantic.
If anyone could assist me in where to find information related to the history of San Valentino or Scara, history of the churches, Tozzi or Di Tommasso family history (geneology, homesites, cemetaries, stories about who people were, what they did, what they were like, etc.) it would be of great help.
Thank you,

I was just checking out web sites about Fossa, Italy where my father was born. He was born 1914 to Daigio and Candita(Calvisi) Turco and they came to the US in 1920. I just am very proud of my Italian hertiage, and I always wondered if my grandparents left behind lots of relatives. My Mother also came from Italy in 1920, she was born in S.Bartolomeo in Galdo. Her last name was Sangregorio, my mother's parents were Assunta(Russo) and Giovannie. Thanks for a great web site...
