I have had messages posted and was succesful in finding "cugino's" of my mother's side, she was a Fiucci. We connected with a Chiola family in
Collecorvino. Hope I can find someone related to my fathers side, he was a DiPanfilo, and was born in Loreto Aprutino. He had , we know 5 sisters and we know that one married a Zopito Dattilio? We do not know much about the other sisters. I hope someone in the area has information for me and hope to hear from anyone.

My grandfather was Michel Tartaglia from Picinisco married to a Rossi. They came to England before 1900 via Ipswich and then to Edinburgh where he set up an ice cream business. They had the following children:
Tony, Dominic, Peter, Virginia, Lena, Pepino and Teresa (my mother)who is still alive, the last of the Tartaglias. Teresa lives in Macmerry in East Lothian (89 years). Tony carried on with the business and moved to East Linton in East Lothian where he was known widely for his excellent ice cream. It would be good to make contact with any family member either overseas or in Italy.

I am trying to trace the Strappini family in Italy. My Great, Great, Great Grandparents (Cosmo and Theressa Strappini) came from Tortoreto, province of Teramo, Abruzzo, italy in the early 1800s and moved to Guernsey, Channel Islands. I would like any information that I can find where they stayed in Tortoreto and if there any decendants from the family still living in Italy, in which case I would very much like to contact them. I am ssuming they had family in Italy, if so I would very much like them to contact me so that I could come out to Italy to meet them.

Looking for contact with relatives in Pietrabbondante. My grandmother's name was Elena Zarlenga and my grandfather's name was Romolo DiPinto, both born and raised in Pietrabbondante. My grandmother came from a family of 7 children and my grandfather a family of 2 or 3 children.
I live in a suburb of Chicago. When my grandparents immigrated here, they first started out in Youngstown, Ohio. After a couple of years, they moved to Chicago. I had made previous contact with my father's cousin, but lost all contact information.

Hi! I am looking for information on my grandfather, who left Fossacesia, Abruzzi, Italy for a short time, and then returned, travelling sometime in the early 1910's. His name was Giuseppe Luciani and he travelled to Chicago (as far as I know). He may have entered through Ellis Island, but I cannot be sure. Any information would be helpful! Thanks.
