I forgot to mention that the town that Carmine DiLoreto came from is Castel fretano. His Sister Maria's Grandson Donato & wife Nina managed the only gasoline station in Castelfretano. I hope this helps.

I am still trying to trace the family of Carmine DiLoreto, I have just learned the name of his father Nicola & Mother Nicoletta Rulli. There were 4 children, Carmine, Stefano, Maria Married to Donato Crognale, & Rocco born around 1901. Rocco had 3 children. Martino, Guiseppi, & Nicole Giovanni. My family are from Navelli - L'Aquila. My father Giuseppe Lucciantonio was born in Navelli in 1939. My grandfather's name was Paolo Lucciantonio and my grandmother was Maria Troiani. My father is Flaviano W. Calvarese, born 5/30/34. He was named after his uncle, also named Flaviano. The Calvarese family of mine is located in Wilmington, DE. My late grandparents were Emidio Calvarese who was married to Mildred DiGulielmo (Williams).

The family consisted of: Mary Cummins, Frank, Norma Knipe, Flaviano, James and John (deceased).

I realize there were many, many Calvarese family spread throughout the Tri-state area.

Years ago, The Delaware County Daily times ran a huge front-page story of the Calvarese clan. I would love to get another copy of it.

I am very proud of my heritage. My father is very ill with Parkinson's Disease and is confined to a nursing home. My mother suffered a stroke about 15 months ago. She is in good shape but has very limited use of her right side.

My siblings (Stephen, Vincent, Karen, Kathy) and I have done very well for ourselves. We owe it to a good upbringing by our parents, who worked and sacrificed for us. The Calvarese name is one to be very proud of and I wouldlove to hear from any of its members.

Francesco Nicolini (1892-1896) married Rosa Sparacino (also born 1892-1896) in 1918. Believed his family originated in Veneto or Genoa. Her family originated in Palermo, Sambuca di Sicilia. Hello: March 26, 2006. My interest is finding my Great-Grandparents who lived in Venafro. Their names are:
Carmine D'Antonio Born 9 Oct 1877: Angelina D'Antonio Born 9 Nov 1891; Nicandro Born 19 Dec 1855; Nicoletta Born 10 Dec 1852. If you live in Venafro, how would I get information of family members? Is there a directory of the cemetary in Venafro? Is there an address for the town hall of records? I think I have a second cousin who is a vascular surgeon in Venafro and another relative who owns a dress shop. Any help would be wonderful. I am looking for information for a good self catering or guest house in the town of Ortona a Mare. I am on a mission to research my families origins in this town.

My father, Carlo Dentino, was born I believe in Teramo(Abruzzo) Italy, came to the US in the early 1900's. He was married to Philomena DiPilla who was born in the US but her father, Angelo DiPilla was married to Madelena Scili/Shorley. The only info I have on them is they come from the town of Campobasso.

Hello, my son and I will be visiting Italy in June 2006. We are looking for relatives of the Carano family in Carovilli. My great-grandfather, Pasqual Carano, and great-grandmother, Anna Marie Massaro Carano, came to the US in the early 1900's. They settled in Oklahoma and, eventually, in Youngstown and Hubbard, Ohio. Pasqual was married twice. His first wife (unsure of her name) died and he and Anna Marie were married by proxy while she was still in Italy. Their daughter, Louise (my grandmother) married James "Chip" Rossi, whose family may have also come from the same area. I would appreciate any help in finding potential relatives still living in the Carovilli area. Thank you.

My father Mario was born in Castel di Sangro, Abruzzo in 1933. His father was Silvio DeVincentis (was DeVincenzo)and mother was Nicoletta Caruso. My grandfather was born somewhere near or in Chieti. He had an older brother Enrico (DeVincenzo) and a younger brother named Mauro (his last name was Piscione). I believe Enrico's grandchildren are in Toronto, Canada and Mauro's family in Pescara, Italy. Just curious! Any informaion, please contact me.

My name is Sergio Rosato, I am 45 years old, married with three children and I live in Sydney Australia. I am the first born son of Luigi Rosato, 5th son of Maria Guiseppa La Pietra born on 18th February, 1902 in Lanciano, Provincia di Chieti. Nonna Peppinella was married to Antonio Rosato born in Lanciano 13th March 1898. They had eight (surviving) children who emigrated literally to the four corners of the globe. I was back in Lanciano last September for the Le Feste di Settembre - an amazingly, warm and beautiful place. I know that branches of the LaPietra/Rosato family emigrated to France and to Canada whilst branches of the Rosato clan are located in Canada, US, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia and Italia.
We may be distant relations - who knows?
