Thank you so much to the people who have responded to my message earlier this past year! Im looking into my "new leads". But keep anything new comin...to recall;
Im looking for ANY info on the VERLINGO surname. My father moved here as a young boy in the '60's with his family from Campobasso. Dont know much else except there's a race car driver and a real estate agent in California with my last name too ha ha. If there's anything else anyone can offer, it'd be great! Thank you!

My grandfather (Mauro Palladinetti) came here (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA) from Chieti, Abruzzi in 1915 so he could get established then send for his family. He left his wife (Marie Marinucci) and three children in Italy but couldn't return for them in until 1919 when WW1 ended. My grandfather was one of nine and I think he was a twin, one of his nephews (Donato) who came here (USA) in the 50's had some of his family move to Australia. My grandparents had eight children; Grace, James, Connie, Pasquale, (who I'm named after) Lucy, Lena, Mario and Theresa. I know my aunt Lucy did return in the early 70's to visit the rest of the family in Chieti but I don't think any other of the brother or sisters made it back. It was interesting to see the same combination of surnames (Palladinetti and Marinucci) as my grandparents that Tina Palladinetti from Australia posted on this web site. I hope to make my first visit soon and see where the family started as so many of the other Palladinetti's have done.

My grandmother was the former Assunta Torrieri and my grandfather was Giusseppi Cellini. The family history is sketchy, they came to the US illegally, my grandfather was injured and then deported.

Hello,
My name is Klint Macro. My family came from Pescasseroli, in the late 1800's and settled in western Pennsylvania. My great grandfather was Michele Macro. Michele's parents were James (Giacomo) Macro and his wife Mary. Michele was married to Palma D'Arcangelo. Palma's parents were Joseph D'Arcangelo and Josephine Pandolfi. As far as I know ALL of the family came from Pescasseroli. Michele had at least one brother, Tony, and maybe a brother named Paul. Palma had at least one sister named Maria and maybe a brother named Cesidio. If I am having a real hard time connecting my family with other Macro's that I have communicated with. Please feel free to e-mail me any questions or information.

I'm trying to find out any information if there are still relatives living in the Bisenti area. My grandfather arrived around 1900 (Sabatino Ciccone) and his brother Pasquale arrived in 1903. They were 14 and 17 when they came to the United States. I'm planning a trip to Italy in June of 2006 and would like to visit the birthplace of my grandfather.
