I'm planning a trip to Villa Santa Maria, to find records on my great grandfather Galizio Delle Piane. He was orphaned at the steps of the church Santa Maria Basilica on Feb 17 1880 He was named by the "hermit" of the church who found him, hermit's name was Bruno Cotumaccio Nunzio.
He gave my grt grndpa the name Galizio Delle Piane. Galizio Delle Piane was then raised by the hermit. Does anyone have any information at all? My grt grandpa married Angela Spaventa on August 7, 1903 in Santa Maria,
Arrived in NewYork 7-7-1906 ship SS Citta di Genova. Settled in Greensburg, PA West Moreland County.

M´interessa principalmente conoscere i premi ottenuti in Argentina.

Muchas gracias

My father Angelo was born in the Bronx NY on Dec. 29, 1919.
The nurse who delivered him wrote Benizio on the birth certificate instead on Bonizio and it stuck with him. He had 4 brothers, Patsy, James, John and Albie and two sisters Millie and Viola, all from the Bronx Van Nest Avenue and all Bonizio's. Does anyone know anything about their parents? Very few records exist that I know of and I'd like to do some research, how do I get started?

i am in the process of completing a book about my search for my italian roots. it is titled "arthur and rose, the caponi/mosca union, october 21,1915."
arthur was born in pretare frazione di arquata del tronto le marche in 1891. rose mosca's mother concetta sulprizio was born in popoli pescara abruzzo in 1865. beato nunzio sulprizio was born in pescosansonesco in 1817. nunzio's father, domenico was born in popoli in 1795 and he died in 1820.
il mio nonno antonio sulprizio was born in popoli in 1809. i am trying desperately to determine if domenico and antonio were related. can any one help?
my book will contain about 300 pages of narrative, documents from italy and the usa covering birth, marriage and atti di nascita, matrimonio e morte tell a great story about the subject of the act. my journey in search of my italian roots has been going on since 1997.
does any one have any further interest in my research? i would be honored to share some of my experiences.

I am trying to learn more about my maternal grandmother's family and relatives i have in Italy. Her father was vincenzo guglielmelli. I believe he was from avelino providence or mount verde area. I was told his father was a stone cutter who actually carved a 3 room homestead in the side of the mountain, that his cousins occupied when the family immagrated to the states. The home was supposedly featured on "Ripley's believe it or not" some years ago. When Vincenzo came through ellis island the last name was shortened to guglielmo and supposedly his brother's was shortened to melli. If anyone can help me find info on my relatives please contact me.

I am looking for info on the DiNicolantonio family of Atlantic City, NJ. Mr DiNicolantonio is/was a prominent heart surgeon, and owned the Venice Restaurant in Atlantic City in 1944. His wife's (my maternal aunt) name is/was Mary nee Morrison of Philadelphia. I met my aunt only once when she came to Norwood, PA when my mother died in 1944. I know they had a son and a daughter at that time. I am researching our geneology, but not having much success.
