My grandmother Ascenza Colaizzi married Giuseppe Marino in Ateleta, and came to Montreal, Canada in 1914. Her three brothers Nicolantonio, Francesco, and Angelo Colaizzi migrated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, around 1906. Looking for relatives, info, etc...

Tracing my family tree which starts in Roccacasale,L'Aquila, Abruzzo and ends up in Pratola Peligna, L'Aquila, Abruzzo, moves to the USA with my grandfather Cesidio Mastrogiuseppe and grandmother Agata Petrella.

Hello, looking for information on Agnes Orsini, born Aug. 2, 1886 or 1887. Brother John, sister Pep all came to Amrica between 1904-5 to 1920. One sister remained in Italy with their mother. Agnes Orsini married Peter DeMarco and had 10 children, one being my mother Olga. Her sister Pep married Sam Alberico and had seven children here in the states. Agnes's borther John's wife died here shortly after the birth of her daught Ida. John's first two children, Flo and Dominic were born in Italy.
My cousin Bruce DeMarco and his wife Evelyn and I are planning a trip to Italy for Mid-Sept. 2005 and would like to meet the relatives.

I am looking for information on people who immigrated from Pettrano in 1901. Some of the names are: Franceco Granetti, Antonio Cicclillo, Donato Cicclillo, Lorenzo Patella, Giovanni Almenti,Ensenzo Gennetti, Raffaele Ranali
I believe many of these people wound up in Chicago Heights Illinois. Some may have come from Amaseno or near Cheti.

I am researching my grandmother and grandfather, who both emigrated to the USA in the early 1900's. They were both born in towns that were part of Abruzzo (when they were born) however their towns are actually located in Molise now that Abruzzo was seperated. My grandmother with the name of Maria Mignogni was born in a town called Arriccia (provincia di Isernia and my grandfather was born in Campobasso his name was Nichola Santopolo. I believe that one of my grandfather's brothers went to Argentina and died there from appendicitis. My grandfather's mother died when he was very young and his father remarried when my grandfather was still young. My grandparents both emigrated to Philadelphia, Pa, and met and married in the Italian community there. They had 4 daughters and 1 son. I have not been able to find any information on them. My grandfather Giovanni D'ANDREA, was born in Villa Santa Lucia, degli L'Aquila, Abruzzo in 1899. His father was Francesco D'ANDREA and his mother was Domenica TURCO.
They emigrated to the Ironwood, Michigan USA in 1907.
The surnames I have found related to this family are D'ANDREA, TURCO, COLANTONIO, Del MONTE, CELLI, FONTECCIO and others.

Looking for information on my husband's maternal side of the family. The name is DiValerio. I know that Nicholas (Nicola) came to America from the Abruzzi region.
