I am looking for information and relatives of my grandfather, Croce Antonio Di Coio. He was born in Colle di Macine in 1887 and emigrated to the US in 1910. He had a brother, Donato. I believe his mother's name was Rose. He married Maria Rossi in the US. I appreciate any information or help you can give me in this search. Thanks.

Both of my father's parents were from San Pio delle Camere. They arrived in Buffalo, New York direct from Italy in the 1920's. My grandfather was "Frank" Aloisio and my grandmother was Archangela
Di Censo. Their children were Paul (my Dad) and Clara "Louis." There is a woman buried in the cemetary in San Pio named Maria Grazia Aloisio who looks just like my father. My relatives insist that I am not related to her, however. This is a mystery I must solve...
Any information from or about folks with the surname ALOISIO from San Pio delle Camere is greatly appreciated. Thank You!

My grandfather Giusseppe Marsinelli(Mazzinelli) was born in Lanciano on October 27, 1883. I was wondering if there were still any Marsinelli's left in Lanciano and if I had any distant relatives still living there. My grandmother's name was Antoinetta DeFillippo and I believe she was born in February around 1888. I'm not sure if she was born in Canosa Sannita or Lanciana. I would also like to know if there are still any DiFillippo's (not sure of correct spelling) left or distant relatives still alive on my grandmother's side. She died young at the age of 45 years old in America. If you have any information about any of this, please e-mail me.

I visited Ortona and the surrounding area in July to research the events of December 1943 when Canadian soldiers drove the Nazis out of the town. I was greeted in the most wonderful way by local people who were delighted to tell me stories and provide information. I was very moved by some of these stories and also by the wonderfully kept Moro Cemetery where 1375 of my fellow countrymen lie.
Thank you so much.

Hello Diane, it was so nice to meet you today in Lansdale. Italians always have a good time even after meeting for a few minutes.

It was interesting when I saw your DiGiacomo page that I then discoved the connection with the Pontarelli's (my wife's family) and then the Frunzi's when we discussed that I attended high school with George Frunzi. Small world, right !

I love your web page with so much to see.

HOUSE FOR RENT
I have a nice farm house available in Pianella, province of Pescara.
It is the ideal if you are going to Abruzzo with your family for a week or more. See farmers working, drink home-made wine with them and hear the rooster in the morning! It is in the midst of olive trees and vineyards, it is all furnished. It is by the Bus stop; it had two bed rooms, kitchen, bathroom, porch, parking space, with view of mountains and, most of all, it is much cheaper and peaceful than Hotels! Grazie.

BUON GIORNO, DEAR AMERICAN-ABRUZZESI!
My Name is REMO FAIETA; I am Abruzzese too, from Pianella in the province of Pescara; I came to Columbus, Ohio some 40 years ago,
have been Prof. of French and Latin and for the past 23 years have been conducting tours to Italy.
Those Tours are unique, because they take you to see not only the best of Italy (Venice, Florence, Rome...), but also that dear little town of your family roots in the province of L'Aquila, Chieti, Pescara, Teramo, Campobasso, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily...
I know Italy like the palm of my hand; I have detailed maps, phone books and tons of literature about Italy. Within minutes I can give you the information you have been looking for all your life! With my Tours hundreds and hundreds of "Paesani" have seen for the first time their hometown and met their "cugini". You too can make that dream come true!
My Tours always take place in September and October, when the weather is nice and figs and grapes are ripe. Mamma Mia, how sweet!
If it is too late for this year, plan for next year; e-mail me to get a brochure of my tours. Grazie e Buona Fortuna.

Bon Giorno!
I am looking for help in finding information about my Mother's Father. His name was Ferdinand Frassinelli, born June 1, 1893 in Sulmona, but was abandoned at a church or convent, then adopted by Susan Pietr'Antonio of Pettorano. He left Pettorano at the age of 17 and emigrated to the United States, settling in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

He became a successful building contractor and sent money back home to Pettorano to help rebuild or restore one of the churches in town.

Many Pettorani came to the United States and found work with his company "E & F Construction Company". "E" is for Epiphano, "F" is for Frassinelli.

I would be very grateful for any information about his life or family (adopted or birth) in Pettorano.

Thank you very much,

Mio nonno era Giovanni Cerritelli, poeta chietino;mio bisnonno era Luigi Cerritelli e so che abitava in via PORTA NAPOLI.
Una poesia di mio nonno è questa,posta nel sito www.giovannicerritelli.wide.it che gli ho costruito,;

PROLOGO
(Giovanni Cerritelli,1917-1992,Chieti)

Povero poeta
che sogni la gloria
perduto
nella pattumiera del mondo,
era meglio calciare
una sfera di cuoio
oppure inforcare
un lucente cavallo d'acciai.
Povero poeta
col vestito a brandelli
t'aggiri mendicando
per un mondo straniero al tuo dire,
era meglio pugnare
su un quadrato recinto di corde
oppure spacciare
malefiche droghe.

Povero poeta
spellacchiato e randagio

Grazie.

I am trying to trace my heritage on my father's side. Rocco Iachini was born to Antonio and Anna Domenica Perfetta in Citta' San Angelo Province of Teramo December 17, 1895. He came to America in 1913. His parents remained in Citta' San Angelo. Rocco had two sisters; Adeline and Libreta. Libreta married a Duelinga, Adeline married a Cacciatore.According to various websites there are 481 listings for Iachini, in Italy. 18 in Pescara, 6 in Citta' San Angelo. After careful thinking, what is the possibility that due to communications back 100-200 years ago that there may be a relationship not identified? I am sure my father had uncles and cousins that he may not have seen often or not at all. The same applies to my grandfather Antonio. Did he have brothers, uncles, cousins, aunts or sisters? I have not found the secret about how to get into the depositories of information that may exist at this time. If anyone would be so kind as to nudge me in the general direction I am to go to find possible relatives, I would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou, ever so much.
