A song released in 1964, lyrics by Franco Migliacci.

Una Rotonda sul Mare, Fred BongustoFor decades the Molisani believed that the song was inspired by a "rotonda" on the beach of Termoli, but the "myth" was broken in a recent interview, frere Bongusto admitted that the original rotonda was in Senigallia, in the Marche region. Language corner: the "rotonda" is a terrace on the sea, usually part of a beach cafe, where since the 1960's to the sound of juke-box generations danced in the moonlight.

Una rotonda sul mare,
il nostro disco che suona,
vedo gli amici ballare,
ma tu non sei qui con me.
A dancing floor on the sea,
our record that's playing,
I see my friends dancing,
but you're not here with me.

Amore mio
dimmi se sei
triste così come me.
Dimmi se chi ci separò
è sempre lì accanto a te,
My love
tell me if you
are as sad as me.
Tell me if that who parted us
is always there beside you,

se tu sei felice con lui
o rimpiangi qualcosa di me.
Io ti penso sempre sai,
ti penso...
If you're happy with him
or regret anything of me.
I always think of you, you know,
I think of you...
