Notes to the Indexes
For part of the marriages the original deeds were examined, and more information may appear as:
- Age, given as number after the first name, place of origin if different from pescocostanzo
- "qm" after the name of a parent, for the Latin "quondam", which means he or she was deceased at the time of the marriage
- The original documents are in the State Archive of L'Aquila and online in the Antenati Portal, where with the year and date the original document can be found choosing "Sfoglia i Registri" then entering "Pescocostanzo" in the "Comune/Località" field, then either "Fondo: Stato civile napoleonico" (years 1809-1815) or "Fondo: Stato civile della restaurazione" (years 1816-1860), or "Fondo: Stato civile italiano" (years 1862-1865, the year 1861 is missing in the Antenati Portal, and is only available in the State Archive of L'Aquila), then "Matrimoni" and the year of interest.
- In the Antenati Portal, in the catalogue "Matrimoni, processetti", the attached documents can be found, usually in a chronological order. These will include banns of marriage, birth extracts of the spouses, death extracts of parents, and in case a father was deceased, death act for a grandfather as well.
