Da st'isula un jornu partivu,
era china di suli
Pi fari fortuna lassavu
a me matri e l'amuri
Beautiful Sicily
From this island one day I left
it was full of sun
to seek fortune
I left my mother and my love

Girannu lu munnu
si parlu di tia mi vantu
Ma quannu taliu lu mari
ppi nun chianciri cantu.
Travelling the world
if I speak of you I am proud
But when I see the ocean
not to weep, I sing

Sicilia bedda,
nun ti pozzu chiù scurdari
Si ti lassavu
terra mia m'ha pirdunari
Beautiful Sicily
I can never forget you
If I left you, my homeland
you must forgive me

T'aju tinutu
sempri a intra lu me cori
Nun passa jornu
ca nun pensu di turnari.
I always kept you
inside my heart
Not one day passes
that I do not think of coming back.

Ricordu 'u primu amuri
La terra ca mi fici
La gioventù, me matri
e tutti li me amici.

Sicilia bedda,
nun ti pozzu cchiù scurdari
Granni è st'amuri
Quant'è granni e profunnu lu mari.
Beautiful Sicily
I can never forget you
So great is this love
As great and deep is the sea

Ricordu 'u primu amuri
La terra ca mi fici
La gioventù, me matri
e tutti li me amici.
I remember my first love,
the land that gave me life,
my youth, my mother
and all my friends.

Sicilia bedda,
nun ti pozzu chiù scurdari
Granni è st'amuri
Quant'è granni e profunnu lu mari.
Sicilia, Sicilia bedda!
Beautiful Sicily
I can never forget you
So great is this love
As great and deep is the sea
