Riccardo Vincent Cocciante is an Italian songwriter, composer and musician.

Biography

Riccardo CoccianteHe was born in Saigon, Vietnam, on February 20, 1946 to an Italian father born in Rocca di Mezzo (province of L'Aquila) and a French mother. When he was eleven, his family moved to Rome, Italy, where he attended the Lycée Chateaubriand. In Italy he grew artistically, although he will always, thanks to his mother, have a sort of Italian-French "double identity"; in France he is known as Richard Cocciante. Success came in 1974 with the song Bella senz'anima, included in the album Anima, arranged by Ennio Morricone and Franco Pisano.
